The Director, Global Trade Compliance Audits will lead and oversee the company-wide global trade compliance audit program. This role is responsible for setting the strategic direction, directing and monitoring the global trade compliance audit team responsible to ensure PCC’s compliance with applicable Global Trade laws and associated company policies by completing objective examinations of evidence using a risk-based audit approach in collaboration with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement and mitigate compliance risk.

  • Lead the annual risk assessment process to identify inherent risks associated with the Global Trade activities of PCC
  • Direct global trade compliance audit team in executing annual audit plan
  • Develop and maintain audit programs and procedures that objectively assess compliance with applicable Global Trade laws and associated company policies
  • Track and follow up on audit engagement findings and corrective actions and report periodically to senior management about any corrective actions not effectively implemented
  • Apply knowledge of U.S. and foreign customs and export control regulations/global trade compliance to promote increased compliance and manage risk within the organization
  • Monitor legal developments and changes to relevant global trade compliance sanctions, laws and regulations. Recommend updates to corporate policies and procedures as appropriate based on audit trends and evolving regulations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate, division and site leadership, management and staff
  • Provide executive-level reporting on audit findings, trends, and corrective action implementation to senior leadership and relevant governance bodies.

  • 10+ years of professional experience in trade compliance, including but not limited to, export compliance (EAR and ITAR) including deemed exports, export jurisdiction and classification, licenses and other ITAR/EAR export authorizations, technology control plans; and import compliance (including classification, valuation, country of origin and other U.S. Customs and Border Protection considerations).
  • Experience with developing and executing audit programs
  • Experience in a public, global, multi-operation, manufacturing environment with a mix of enterprise, decentralized and integrated applications
  • Proven interpersonal and cross functional business partnering skills that allow for effective collaboration on projects to achieve timely results
  • Strong communication, planning and organizational abilities
  • Creative, analytical problem solver with bias for action
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally (20-30%).
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Prefer candidates with experience in multiple operational environments, including manufacturing and outside consulting or auditing with a professional services company.
  • Professional certification desirable (e.g., CCEP, CECP, CIP, or similar)
