About The Position

The Director of Global Regulatory Compliance leads the expansion, strategic vision and operational execution of the company’s worldwide regulatory compliance function. This role is critical in scaling and building out the global compliance programs and infrastructure to support business growth, enable market entry, and ensure ongoing adherence to evolving international, federal and local regulations. This position collaborates cross-functionally, managing a team of compliance professionals, and serves as the senior authority on international regulatory matters for the organization.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences or equivalent
  • 10+ years of progressive regulatory affairs/compliance experience within the dietary supplement, food or regulated industry, with direct global responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling regulatory compliance functions for international business operations
  • Expert knowledge of global regulatory requirements
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Architect and execute the growth and continuous improvement of the global regulatory compliance function, including the design and implementation of scalable processes and systems
  • Formulate comprehensive regulatory strategies and policies supporting the company’s global business goals, ensuring proactive compliance with complex and varied international requirements for nutritional supplements
  • Direct all aspects of regulatory compliance for international product launches, existing product reformulations and market expansions; provide expert guidance and review of regulatory submissions, registrations, certifications and product claims for worldwide markets (e.g. FDA, Health Canada, EU, LATAM)
  • Establish robust mechanisms for regulatory intelligence gathering and risk assessment; monitor, analyze and communicate developments in global regulatory environments; influence internal stakeholders and adjust business practices as required
  • Serve as the primary regulatory contact for internal partners and global external entities; act as the key decision-maker in external regulatory relationships and negotiations
  • Oversee the review and approval of global product labeling and marketing collateral to ensure accuracy, substantiated claims, and compliance with market requirements
  • Mentor and manage team fostering a culture of accountability, development and excellence
  • Direct the regulatory component of international audit activities, addressing findings and implementing continuous improvement cycles
  • Regularly update executive leadership on compliance metrics, regulatory risk, emerging issues and progress on strategic initiatives
  • nternational and domestic travel as needed to develop and maintain partnerships
  • 2 onsite days per week is an essential function of this position
