The Global Market Director (Polymers) is a critical, strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing market strategies that drive long-term profitability and growth for Huber Advanced Materials (HAM). This high-impact role owns the commercial P&L and New Product Development (NPD) pipeline for the Polymers market, directly influencing the future direction and competitive positioning of our business. The role can be based in the USA or Europe (Atlanta, GA or remote), offering global reach and collaboration. As a key architect of our specialty business transformation, you will champion innovation, market expansion, and sustainable growth in partnership with cross-functional teams.   • Develop and execute global/regional market strategies, including 5-year plans for differentiation, segmentation, and growth.
  • Lead commercial activities, manage pricing, volume, and profitability, and create actionable insights for market improvement.
  • Own and manage the NPD pipeline, driving new product and business development with cross-functional teams.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence, identify new opportunities, and develop winning value propositions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Product Management, and Technical Support to ensure successful product launches and market penetration.
  • Track competitor activity, support M&A recommendations, and ensure alignment with overall HAM strategy.
  • Represent HAM as an innovative, trusted supplier in specialty applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years’ experience in market management, sales, business management, or commercial project management.
  • Proven success in developing and executing market strategies and leading NPD projects.
  • 5+ years’ global business experience in a matrix organization.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel and PowerPoint); ERP reporting experience a plus.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
