About The Position

The Director, Market Access Oncology (Hematology) will be responsible for the launch and life cycle management for pipeline assets in Hematology In this capacity, the candidate will lead all Oncology global market access and pricing activities, including asset access strategy work, development of payer value proposition messages as well as payer value tools leading up to launch and after. The candidate will work closely with value and Implementation teams under clinical development to ensure all clinical trials include the appropriate design input needed for successful reimbursement and ensure alignment across Clinical, as well as with Commercial teams on pricing & reimbursement strategies, product positioning and impact assessments of competitive pricing/access activities. The candidate will collaborate with the Policy group on key external initiatives to shape the broader access and pricing environment to appropriately value new indications and products, and provide guidance to Global Pricing, when needed. The candidate will be involved in business development assessment projects on an ad-hoc basis and will be expected to provide expert insights into pricing and reimbursement effort during the evaluation process. This would involve desk research leveraging on external data sources to provide market access insights for business development (BD) opportunity assessment (e.g. Analysis of the market access and reimbursement landscape including horizon scanning, value assessment and price potential, risks and opportunities for product market access) The selected candidate is expected to operate with integrity and transparency, as well as respect and adherence for the laws and regulations that govern our industry and our company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business or Science related discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing, market research, pricing/ reimbursement, outcomes research or managed markets or business development.
  • Knowledgeable about product development and commercialization process
  • Relevant functional area experience in product launch.
  • Understanding of the global payer environment and perspectives.
  • Proven success working within large and complex strategic initiatives.
  • Experience successfully leading cross functional matrix teams.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management and implementation/operational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong commercial orientation and business acumen.
  • Strategic thinking and integration skills.
  • Experience in Oncology (Hematology) including knowledge on the clinical development space

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree (MBA/MS) or another post-graduate Degree preferred
  • 7 years in oncology and/or market access & pricing and business development

Responsibilities

  • Actively collaborate with the global functions including Oncology Global Market Access and Pricing Team, Oncology Global Marketing team, Global Pricing, Value and Implementation Team, Policy, the Product and Asset development teams and the US & ex-US Regional Oncology Payer Strategy teams, to provide critical market access viewpoints across stakeholder work streams.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure market access considerations in the target product profile and deliver a reimbursable payer value proposition
  • Plan for various landscape and pricing research to support pricing of new products in US and ex-US key countries.
  • Manage analysis and price forecasting of Oncology Brands and Business Development Opportunities.
  • Work closely with the cross-functional teams to develop payer value proposition and scientific narratives.
  • Develop and launch efficient payer value tool for launch products.
  • Serve as active standing member for Value and Implementation teams and ad-hoc member for Pharmaceutical Development/ Early Development teams.
  • Monitor Oncology global competitors and comparator prices and implement innovative global access/pricing strategies for new products.
