Department OverviewThe Director, Global Inclusion (US and Corp) will be responsible for leading, managing and aligning people inclusion strategy’s development, deployment, communication, and operations initiatives for our US and corporate functions.  This position will support the build of the US and corporate specific inclusion strategies aligned with global priorities and to our overall business goals, support segment specific inclusion programs and projects, and providing strategic leadership on policies, practices and change management in inclusion. In addition, this role will serve as the first point of contact for segment related inclusion questions and support. This position will report directly to the Senior Director, Global People Inclusion and will have several stakeholders across the US market and corporate teams.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in DEI, HR, Talent Management
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred master’s degree or related field
  • SPHR, CDP, CDE or other relevant certification preferred
  • Senior level expertise across variety of communications methods with an excellent ability to engage with people at all levels of an organization
  • Proven track record to develop and deploy sustainable strategies Serve as a trusted advisor to executives through reliability, ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts, and maintain discretion
  • Experience working cross-culturally with varied colleagues in a global environment with solid influencing, negotiation and facilitation skills to champion and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, subordinates and other key partners
  • Outstanding proficiency in mentoring, influencing and teambuilding.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge to drive the utilization of technology and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Align Segment-specific Inclusion strategy with McDonald’s global inclusion strategy to ensure work activities are linked to overall business goals.
  • Enable People Partners (HRBPs) with best practice tools and resources for supporting an inclusive and equitable end to end employee experience.
  • Design and execute approaches to measure and track progress by leveraging dashboards and scorecards for analysis, planning, and storytelling.
  • Develop effective and inclusive leaders equipped to help talent excel in their careers and support our business growth with emphasis on leadership accountability and a meaningful cultural experience for all employees.
  • Stay current on the changing landscape of diversity, equity and inclusion to provide expertise of inclusion strategies and interventions for the US and global corporate functions.
  • Use data and insights to inform decisions, recommendations and actions aligned to Global Inclusion practices and plans.
  • Facilitate global partnerships and investments with key global strategic partnerships to with work of the different markets across the system (US, IOM, IDLM)
