The Director, Global Events is the strategic and operational leader for Emburseâs global events portfolio. This role drives pipeline and revenue influence, advances the Expense Intelligence brand platform, and delivers a unified, experience-led strategy across all regions and event tiers. The Director leads a small, high-performance execution team (Senior Event Marketing Manager, Events Manager) and orchestrates a broad cross-functional ecosystem spanning Field Marketing (US & International), Partner Marketing, Customer/Client Events, Product Marketing, Brand/Creative, and Sales. While governance and creative/experience standards are centralized under this function, authority is shared in partnership with global Field and Partner Marketing leaders. The Director is responsible for establishing the operating model, SOPs, and cross-team processes required for consistent execution, KPI stewardship, and quality assurance across all owned, third-party, partner, and regional Programs. The Director owns the global strategy, budget, vendor/venue governance, compliance (privacy, accessibility, safety), and event performance lifecycle - including pre-event orchestration, on-site delivery, and post-event closed-loop reporting to Sales.
