About The Position

The Director of Global Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) at Ingram Micro is responsible for developing and leading the company's Ten to ZERO EHS strategy globally. This role focuses on creating a data-driven strategic plan that prioritizes associate health and safety, aiming to eliminate lost time injuries. The Director serves as the subject matter expert for safety programs, training, and best practices, and is expected to implement new safety practices to drive change and reduce incidents across the organization. This position requires collaboration with senior management to integrate EHS objectives into the overall business strategy and involves significant travel to address safety challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Industrial Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 - 15 years of senior leadership experience in EHS compliance with a global company.
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams of direct reports and cross-border teams.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing EHS strategies and programs.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and ISO 14001/45001 experience.
  • Experience in logistics supply chain/distribution or safety-relevant industries.

  • Experience with Kaizen or similar physical transformation facilitation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, oral, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interface with people at all levels within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global EHS strategy aligned with the company's vision, mission, and values.
  • Collaborate with senior management to integrate EHS objectives into overall business strategy.
  • Manage, develop, and implement the corporate safety program across the enterprise.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert on safety and regulatory matters.
  • Provide technical advice, guidance, and mentoring on safety initiatives.
  • Perform ergonomic studies in high injury areas and review Job Safety Analyses.
  • Train sites on performing individual assessments and ensure compliance with EHS policies.
  • Oversee accident reporting and investigations, ensuring problem areas are identified and corrected.
  • Drive ZERO risk into process designs and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with the development of content for safety training to promote a culture of safety.
