We are actively seeking a Director, Global Contingent Workforce. The role will report directly to the GVP, Global Human Resources. The Director, Global Contingent Workforce will be based in the US and may work from a remote office. Position Summary As the Director of Global Contingent Workforce (CW), you will report directly to the head of Global Human Resources. This individual will lead the strategy and execution of the company’s global contingent talent model, enabling agile access to specialized skills and capacity through a compliant, scalable, and data‑driven approach. You will provide leadership and oversight for the administration and execution of RSI’s contingent workforce staffing needs. You will partner closely with senior leaders in HR, Legal, and Finance to develop and implement an integrated CW strategy and operations approach.

Requirements

  • Strategic planner and partner with demonstrated planning and analytic skills related to workforce planning, workload distribution and management
  • Experience managing a global contingent workforce team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, an engaging public speaker with an ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders and leadership
  • Proven ability to manage and interpret data, create reports, analyze metrics and provide trends and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • 7-10 years in contingent workforce management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders, business resources, sourcing and procurement to develop criteria and best practices for vendor selection, including an annual RFP
  • Establishing and monitoring SLAs/KPIs to ensure consistent level of service
  • Thought leadership for strategic, innovative contingent labor solutions
  • Represents product owner of Vendor Management System (VMS) for the enterprise, involved in vendor selection, contract/SLA negotiation, implementation, training, control environment, access, and day-to-day management of platform as we continue to deploy globally
  • Drive innovation and efficiencies across all CW processes
  • Final decision maker on all administrative and operational achievement objectives within the Contingent Workforce Program - Primary leadership contact between the vendor organizations and internal customers consuming contingent labor solutions
  • Provide leadership to the Contingent Workforce team, including workforce planning, resource development, job enrichment and cross-training
  • Partner with Finance and Procurement to optimize cost-effectiveness and ensure compliance of negotiated agreements to established contingent workforce vendor management policies and practices
  • Establish and implement a Global Preferred Vendor Program
  • Partner with legal to oversee Master Consulting Agreement (MCA) and Statement of Work (SOW) process, including supplier vetting and internal controls
  • Communicate regularly with executives to consult and advise leaders on contingent workforce global best practices, methodologies and strategy, quarterly and annual planning to recommend and implement changes to methods as needed
  • Establish an internal process to review, assess and escalate contractor utilization, recommending a best practice and path for contractor conversions to FTE
  • Oversee all approvals for contractor resources, partnering with finance to ensure budget approval; timesheet and expense approvals; tracking of consultant skills; budget reports for contingent labor spend
  • Partner with Global Talent Acquisition team members to deliver fluid, consistent service to stakeholders
