About The Position

This is a temporary position. The Director, Global Consulting, is a leader within the Global Consulting organization, helping drive enterprise priorities through strategic program management and advisory support. This role partners with initiative and program leaders to guide complex, cross functional efforts and provides senior-level consulting across key projects, platforms, and enterprise-wide initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related major
  • Four plus year experience in project or program management roles.
  • Experience managing and defining transformational strategies for business units
  • MBA or equivalent
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to manage complex stakeholder interactions.
  • Extensive experience in managing multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of success in challenging projects and initiatives.
  • Expertise in facilitating cross-discipline forums and processes.
  • Ability to support the growth of junior practitioners and create a positive team culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the lodging and hospitality sector
  • Preference for consulting experience (strategy, management consulting, or similar advisory roles)

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Program Leadership: Oversee and direct multiple high-impact projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with Marriott’s Strategy Map and organizational goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Supervise and evaluate project progress, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are achieved on time.
  • Advanced Risk Management: Identify and mitigate complex risks, developing comprehensive strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Lead and facilitate complex stakeholder interactions, including cross-discipline forums and processes, to gain buy-in from senior leaders on critical business decisions.
  • Flexible Resource Deployment: As part of a flexible pool of resources, rotate to various priority projects as needed, adapting quickly to new challenges and environments.
