About The Position

The Director for Global Brand Environments - Project Management & Operations is responsible for providing day-to-day management, strategic direction, leadership, and oversight for all aspects related to the visual merchandising, visual experience and store experience projects and operations within the Global Brand Environment department. This individual will lead a project management team and work closely with cross-functional departments to ensure successful and timely design initiatives, adhering to brand standards and delivering exceptional consumer experiences. Close partnerships and understanding of processes for departments such as Marketing and Product are essential. Building strong relationships with regions are crucial to ensure successful roll out of Global initiatives into regions. This role will be responsible for the development of project plans & milestone tracking for assigned global projects for Global Brand Environments, ensuring maximum process efficiency while delivering optimum solutions for internal and external partners. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the roles of Creative Experience, Visual Merchandising & Store Experience and provide connectivity between the department disciplines. This leadership role requires a strong background in project management, operations, communication, and the development of official department communication for guidelines and manuals to ensure the successful implementation of brand strategies and standards. Excellent inter-personal skills are essential.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years proven and progressive project management experience, ideally within visual merchandising, creative or interior design agencies, or architecture firms.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or relevant in-job experience.
  • Proven successful track record of leading large-scale, high-impact projects for a global fashion or retail brand.
  • Excellent understanding of operations, processes, and the ability to balance creative vision with practical considerations.
  • Strong data/analytics skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse team.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills including scheduling and budget management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Mac OS, digital asset management systems, project tracking systems (Wrike), SAP, Ariba, Microsoft Suite and Keynote.
  • Important that this candidate has a clear understanding of reading floor plans, elevations, material, and production information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the creative, visual and store design team, fostering creative and collaborative environment.
  • Develop and execute in partnership with Dept. figureheads across Creative Experience, Visual Merchandising and Store Experience, the departments strategic vision ensuring that all initiatives are aligned to the PVH+ Plan.
  • Partner with Dept. figureheads across Creative Experience, Visual Merchandising and Store Experience to align on priorities and map strategically back to them.
  • Work with direct reports to drive key initiatives with Marketing and Product teams and ensure the brand vision and visual assets gets carried through into 3D store and activation executions.
  • Oversee the end-to-end project management for all initiatives, ensuring timely and successful completion within budget and to brand standards.
  • Lead development of creative brief documentation and project timelines and ensure project briefs are fully complete and meet business requirements before commencement of work.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for all design projects.
  • Act and lead as global primary point of contact for all assigned projects for the Global Brand Environments Department, including Creative Experience, Visual Merchandising and Store Experience.
  • Support cross-discipline and cross-partner collaboration in the development of seasonal global window and in-store visuals with internal departments - Marketing, Product, Regional VM teams - as well as new store concepts (construction, remodels, showrooms, shop-in-shops).
  • Manage and monitor all process steps by collaborating with task owners to ensure project deadlines are met through digital project tracking & asset management systems (Wrike).
  • Streamline and optimize operational processes across the department to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain standards for quality, consistency, and innovation in visual and store design across all showrooms, retail, wholesale, and special activations.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, and partners to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Provide point of view on best practices and solutions across functions and drive effective change.
  • Lead post-mortem meetings on projects to stay up to date on streamline the department processes for efficiencies.
  • Oversee and manage the development, delivery, and communication of all Creative, Visual Merchandising and Store Experience Guidelines / Manuals and overall department official communications.
  • Partnering with all teams to ensure holistic toolkits are built-out to pass to regional partners.
  • Oversee and be direct liaison with agencies identified to help with key Brand initiatives such as: New Store Experience, Collaboration Projects, and Global Line Openings.
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration by effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, design teams, vendors, and retail/wholesale partners.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the global store experience and visual merchandising team and other departments to ensure alignment on brand initiatives and execution.
  • Develop and manage the annual department budget across visual and store design projects and operations, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
  • Work with department leaders to help forecast for upcoming projects and budgetary needs.
  • Work with finance teams to ensure that the proper allocation of funds is being mapped to the respective projects.
  • Own and manage vendor invoicing submissions and procedures for the department (Ariba). Provide streamlined suggestions where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, brand guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality and craftmanship in all design deliverables.
