About The Position

The Global Access Strategy and Pricing (GASP) Breast Cancer Director role directly impacts the ability to achieve business objectives by supporting the development of strategic guidance on access, pricing, optimal reimbursement, launch sequencing, patient value, and evidence generation for the Breast Cancer franchise. The Breast Cancer franchise is one of the prioritized Oncology franchises and consists of products recently post DP3, with pre-DP3 indications, and pre-launch and in-line products. The franchise includes the following products: KAT6, CDK4, Vepdegestrant and Ibrance. The objectives for the franchise strategy is to advance the treatment of breast cancer through next-generation backbones of treatment and novel combinations from our internal portfolio and with external combination partners. This position will function with a ‘One Global Access and Value' mindset and work in an aligned manner with the Breast GASP team, and other GAV colleagues (USMA, HV&E). The role will be most heavily focused on the early assets and indications, for KAT6 and CDK4 and work closely with the CDK4 GASP Lead. This person will support the advancement of the integrated value and access strategy (IVAS) in partnership with the cross functional team and aligned to the brand strategy. The IVAS will optimize the long term value of the products by optimizing the pricing & access strategy including indication launch sequence and evidence generation plans. The position reports to the GASP Breast Cancer Team Lead within GAV.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree minimum required.
  • 8 years of experience required with Bachelor's; 7 years of experience required with Master's / MBA; 5 years of experience required with PharmD / PhD, preferably in pharmaceutical industry or related consulting services.
  • Experience in developing and executing Pricing & Market Access strategies and deliverables on US and key ex-US markets such as Germany, France, UK, Italy and/or Spain, China, Japan.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in a healthcare, business or economic field preferred (PhD, PharmD, MPH, MBA, MS ...).
  • Experience working in breast cancer agents globally, and knowledge of HTA and Payer requirement is desirable.
  • US, IDM, China, country level HTA and negotiation experience is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of drug development process.
  • Pharmaceutical business, including experience in strategy development and interaction with customers.
  • Strong project management abilities (contracting, budgeting, vendor management) essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects involving complex processes, significant budget, competing deadlines and rapidly shifting priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required; ability to understand and respond to multiple internal and external customers and influence in a matrix environment.
  • Skilled in functioning within a matrix organization where managing through influence is required and experience of managing people in a cross-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead generation of payer insights and support the translation into clear and cohesive integrated value and access, pricing and evidence generation strategies for key markets to support the Breast Cancer Franchise.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support critical strategic discussions at Senior Leadership forums.
  • Support Global cross functional and local preparation of the EU JCA strategy in close partnership with HV&E.
  • Support shaping breast cancer lifecycle management and DP3 decision making by leveraging expertise in access and price strategies, and scenario planning.
  • Deliver clear recommendations relating to payer strategy, pricing and reimbursement, analogue case studies, evidence generation, data collection and value proposition.
  • Participate in virtual cross functional teams including representing GAV at Commercial Subteams, and at the GPT.
  • Coordinate and lead projects related to specific asset threats and opportunities.
  • Generate & synthesize payer insights.
  • Maintain in-depth understanding of payer regulations, including novel-novel combinations, fixed dose combinations, and needs of all types of payers (e.g. HTA agencies, institutions and patients) in key Pfizer markets.
  • Support assessment and communication of external access trends to anticipate potential challenges and opportunities for the Breast franchise.
  • Gather and synthesize feedback for development programs with health technology assessment agencies, payers, and relevant patient associations.
  • Develop payer value proposition and drive market access strategy.
  • Support the development of clear and cohesive access, pricing and evidence generation strategy to optimize value of the Breast Franchise.
  • Lead discussions with Country Health & Value and Payer Channel Access Leads at critical junctures to ensure local insights are integrated into global plans that optimize long-term value for Breast Franchise.
  • Provide input into clinical development plans, market access and pricing strategies and recommendations, early HTA advice, early economic models, and evidence generation plans via the Integrated Value & Access Plan.
  • Support alignment efforts with Commercial, BAI, Clinical, Medical, and Asset teams to ensure clinical trial design, real world evidence plan, and commercial strategies reflect payer insights and align with Bold Moves in order to maximize value of the Breast Franchise.
  • Support discussions and early buy-in discussions with senior leadership on price and market access strategy and recommendations to support key business decision points.
  • Support development of the IVAS, value proposition and value-based agreement strategy and buy-in from cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Develop pricing & market access product and country assessments, and run country workshops.
  • Support analyses and recommendations in partnership with HV&E to influence clinical trial design recommendations (e.g. endpoints, comparators, PROs), development of early economic model, and generation of supplemental evidence (e.g. comparative-effectiveness studies leveraging real-world evidence) to strengthen our value proposition and pricing/access opportunity.
  • Advance functional excellence in Global Market Access.
  • Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams including HEOR, Medical, Commercial, BAI and others to drive payer perspective and optimize for reimburseability per critical business needs globally for breast cancer.
  • Work efficiently and collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Develop expertise in US, IDM, China markets and launch requirements.
