Department OverviewP2W administers the McDonald’s Arch Card program — one of the largest gift card programs in quick service retail. This role leads the day-to-day operations of that program while helping to shape its next chapter, which includes the launch of digital stored value and e-gift cards alongside the existing physical card business. This is a hands-on operational leadership role, supported by a remote team of four P2W employees, plus engagement across the broader McDonald’s team. The right person not only knows the physical gift card ecosystem deeply, including distribution partners, card manufacturing, inventory planning, seasonal demand cycles, but also brings deep digital payments fluency to help navigate the program’s expansion into app-based stored value and e-gift cards.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in gift card, prepaid, or stored value program operations, international e-gift card experience a strong plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance or other related field and experience
  • Working familiarity with the physical gift card ecosystem, including knowledge of processes and relevant vendors for distribution, manufacturing, and inventory planning
  • Deep experience managing programs with e-gift cards and digital stored value required
  • Experience managing external vendor relationships in a large, matrixed organization
  • Strong financial acumen around stored value liabilities, breakage, and reporting
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and building structure where little exists

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end operations of the Arch Card program, including physical card inventory planning, distributor relationships (Blackhawk, InComm), and manufacturing coordination
  • Manage the seasonal planning calendar, with particular focus on holiday demand cycles
  • Maintain operational continuity and vendor performance across all program touchpoints
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across Treasury, Finance, Marketing, Technology, and Legal to support the launch of digital stored value and e-gift card capabilities
  • Coordinate with distribution partners on digital product availability across third-party channels
  • Support operational readiness, customer experience, and issue resolution as digital capabilities go live
  • Ensure the program operates in compliance with escheatment, unclaimed property, and consumer protection regulatory requirements
  • Partner with Finance and Treasury on liability management, breakage accounting, and financial reporting
  • Prepare materials and updates for the P2W board of directors
  • Serve as the operational center of gravity across internal teams and external vendors for the stored value program
  • Support contract management and vendor SLAs in partnership with Legal and Procurement
