About The Position

The Director of General Services at Fairview Hospital is responsible for overseeing the Environmental Services Department, Engineering Department, Facilities Management, and the Environment of Care Program. This role involves planning, organizing, and controlling the hospital's facility management functions, requiring strong initiative and sound judgment to act decisively in critical situations. The director aims to maximize the utilization of manpower, supplies, and equipment while maintaining or improving quality standards.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of progressively responsible management experience in facilities management, safety, and construction.
• In-depth knowledge of Life Safety Codes and relevant regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural prints and job specifications.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• License to operate on-site boilers must be obtained within 180 days of employment.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
