About The Position

This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for global clinical programs, ensuring excellence in study execution and team performance. The Director will lead and mentor global Clinical Study Managers (gCSMs), driving cross-functional collaboration to meet program goals, manage risks, and resolve complex issues. You will contribute clinical operations insights to program strategy, oversee budgets and resource planning, and maintain high standards of quality and regulatory compliance. This international role requires coordination across multiple time zones, strong program management expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. You will champion continuous improvement, foster talent development, and guide global initiatives that advance operational effectiveness and clinical trial success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific, healthcare, or related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in clinical trials, including program and people management in global, multi-region studies
  • Proven expertise in clinical operations, project/program design, feasibility, risk management, and technical reporting
  • Strong leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
  • Deep understanding of ICH/GCP guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements for clinical trials
  • Experience in budget planning, resource allocation, and performance management for complex clinical programs
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with ability to drive results across multiple stakeholders and regions
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a global team of gCSMs, including hiring, training, performance management, and resource planning
  • Oversee execution of clinical programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Act as the point of escalation for operational or study-related issues within designated programs
  • Collaborate with other program leads and functional stakeholders to define strategies, priorities, and global standards
  • Provide clinical operations expertise to drive program strategy, including participation in KOL engagement and governance activities
  • Develop, monitor, and report on program KPIs, budgets, resource forecasts, and operational performance
  • Foster continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient study execution across multiple regions
