About The Position

The GCITC Training Director at Augusta University is responsible for leading the cyber training mission at the Georgia Cyber Innovation & Training Center. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to develop comprehensive training and workforce development plans that align with the center's vision of being a hub for regional cyber workforce development. The Director will oversee the delivery of training programs, manage customer relationships, and ensure the quality and effectiveness of training operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a relevant field with 6+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of experience.
• One or more relevant professional certifications from leading technology authorities (Cisco, CompTIA, AWS, Microsoft, etc.).
• Experience with the NIST cybersecurity framework.
• 5+ years of managerial or academic administration experience.
• 1+ years of experience teaching in a related content area.

Nice To Haves

• Certified cybersecurity trainer
• Industry experience in cybersecurity, information security, or risk management.
• Experience in creating cyber training and competitions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the GCITC Training strategy and business plan.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and stakeholders to define/update the GCITC Training mission and strategic goals.
• Lead a team of cybersecurity and administrative experts to provide professional training.
• Develop and deliver training courses that meet customer requirements.
• Identify and manage customer and partner relationships for training success.
• Oversee and implement resources for successful training operations.
• Develop and execute an annual GCITC Training budget.
