About The Position

The Director of the Georgia Cyber Innovation & Training Center Cyber Range is responsible for leading the Cyber Range efforts to support training, research, and innovation missions. This role involves developing and executing operational strategies, managing customer services, and identifying funding opportunities while providing technical advice on cloud computing and automation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 12+ years of experience in IT/Cyber and at least 7 years in cloud computing and operations.
• Associate degree in a technology-related field with five years of experience in cloud computing and/or cyber range operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field with three years of experience in cloud computing and/or cyber range operations.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field with 2 years of experience in software development or IT.
• Experience with cloud computing, data science, network architecture, software development, and/or cybersecurity.
• Experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS/SCADA), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyber Operations.
• Experience in creating cyber exercises, cyber training, and competitions.
• Federal government or military experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Cyber Range strategy and business plan.
• Define/update the Cyber Range mission, strategic goals, and implementation plans.
• Lead a team of cloud computing experts to develop and operate Cyber Range capabilities.
• Manage Cyber Range infrastructure, content, and security to ensure compliance with policies and industry standards.
• Ensure Cyber Range content, scenarios, and exercises align with the mission.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to Cyber Range staff and student interns.
• Identify and manage customer and partner relationships.
• Develop and execute an annual Cyber Range budget.
• Oversee procurement and management of Cyber Range equipment and software.
• Coordinate hardware and software refresh cycles.
