About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Director, Gastroenterology to join NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the clinical, administrative, quality, and academic functions of the GI division. The Director will ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings. Key responsibilities include leading strategic growth, developing advanced clinical programs, and fostering a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The role also involves overseeing clinical quality, performance metrics, and patient safety initiatives. The Director will recruit, mentor, and retain physicians, APPs, and trainees, while maintaining an active clinical practice. Furthermore, the position drives academic excellence through teaching, curriculum development, and research initiatives in collaboration with affiliated institutions like Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Requirements

Board Certification in Gastroenterology
Five (5) years of Gastroenterology experience

Responsibilities

Oversee the clinical, administrative, quality, and academic functions of the GI division.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Lead strategic growth, develop advanced clinical programs, and foster a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Oversee clinical quality, performance metrics, and patient safety initiatives to ensure best-in-class, evidence-based care.
Lead program development, including expansion of advanced GI services, procedures, and infrastructure.
Recruit, mentor, and retain physicians, APPs, and trainees while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Maintain an active clinical practice, including inpatient service, outpatient care, and supervision of trainees.
Drive academic excellence through teaching, curriculum development, and growth of research initiatives in collaboration with affiliated institutions.

Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $371,000 with a $37,100 stipend for leadership responsibility.
Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
401(k) Company Contribution (employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings; after one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings; no employee match is required).
