Reporting to the Director, Head of UK, Ireland, ME, Channel Islands Service Delivery, this full time and permanent position is based in our Guernsey office allowing you to make a significant contribution to our Funds business and its' growth. Purpose of Role We are seeking an experienced and strategically focused Director to support and act as Deputy to the Head of Funds in managing the business in Guernsey. This role holds primary accountability for operational excellence, client onboarding and regulatory oversight. The successful candidate will act as an Executive Director of the main Vistra Fund Services (Guernsey) Limited regulated board and serve as a Director on the boards of key fund clients, ensuring robust governance, risk management, and delivery of best-in-class service.Scope Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy Act as deputy to the Head of Funds in leading the Guernsey business. Lead, develop, and manage the Team to ensure effective and efficient operation of fund administration services Define and implement a strategic roadmap for operational service delivery aligned with company objectives and regulatory expectations. Drive a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement across all operational teams. Work collaboratively with key stakeholders in the delivery of the Vistra Fund Solutions strategy. Executive & Board Responsibilities Serve as an Executive Director on the boards of the Vistra Fund Services (Guernsey) Limited regulated entity and secondary Licensee entities, actively participating in corporate governance, strategy setting, and regulatory liaison. Act as a Director on the boards of key fund clients, ensuring fiduciary duties are fulfilled and that high standards of corporate governance and compliance are maintained. Oversee preparation and presentation of regulatory filings, and key management information. Client Service & Relationship Management Maintain strong relationships with key fund clients, acting as a senior escalation point and ensuring satisfaction with service delivery. Oversee onboarding and ongoing delivery for new fund clients, ensuring smooth transition and operational readiness. Oversee the investor onboarding and transfer agency function. Oversee the delivery of the client compliance function. Operational Oversight Oversee daily operations to support the Service Delivery Team. Liaison and oversight of outsourced service delivery partners. Ensure strong governance and risk controls are in place, including oversight of regulatory, AML/CFT, and compliance obligations. Champion the implementation of technology and process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability in conjunction with the roadmap defined. People Management Ensure clear objectives, development plans, and succession planning are in place for all direct reports. Foster an inclusive and empowering work environment that promotes collaboration and professional development. Ensure optimal resource planning and team structuring for current and future business demands. Governance & Risk Ensure full compliance with Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC) regulations and other relevant jurisdictions. Liaise with compliance, and legal functions to proactively manage operational and regulatory risks. Serve as a voting member on the Risk Committee and New Business Committee.

Requirements

  • Board level gravitas, with strong governance, commercial, and risk management acumen.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to lead through influence, change, and complexity.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fund administration, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in the funds or wider financial services sector, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior operational leadership position.
  • Proven experience acting as a regulated director and/or on client boards within the Guernsey fund services environment.
  • Expertise in a variety of fund structures (e.g., open-ended, private equity, real estate, venture capital, hedge funds).
  • Strong track record of managing cross-functional teams, operational delivery, and client relationships.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, ICSA, CFA, or equivalent).
  • Holding or eligibility to hold a personal license issued by the GFSC (or equivalent regulatory body) as required for director roles.
