About The Position

The Role Strategic, analytical and influential. Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) is expanding the Business Engagement & Work Management (BEWM) function within Fund Administration’s Business Engagement & Operational Excellence (BEOE) team. We are seeking a Director to mature, operationalize, and scale this capability across the line of business. You will influence senior leaders, translate business goals into measurable outcomes, and implement a structured framework for intake, prioritization, execution oversight, and insight‑driven reporting to improve decision quality, speed, transparency, and regulatory readiness. You will build trusted relationships across internal and external partners, define what success looks like for the BEWM model, and operationalize how we capture, scope, prioritize, track, and communicate work through its lifecycle—connecting insights to action and long‑term outcomes.

Requirements

  • Proven success standing up or scaling an operating model across a line of business; able to influence and operationalize change at pace.
  • Executive communication and storytelling with senior stakeholders; adept at framing trade‑offs, risks, and scenarios.
  • Change leadership: building adoption, training, and communications for new processes and tools; continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfort with and ability to lead, influence and manage in a less-structured and matrix reporting line environment, across the broader organization and its broader stakeholder groups
  • Expertise in work intake and management practices (prioritization frameworks, OKRs, capacity planning) and governance. (Aligned to BEWM.)
  • Leadership experience managing multiple teams (including managers) and coordinating across functions; strong resource planning and vendor/partner management preferred.
  • Working knowledge of BI/analytics and workflow tooling; strong understanding of data quality, lineage, and metric design preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in project/program management, operations, business process, or analytics in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen and formalize the BEWM operating model end‑to-end—intake & logging, assignment & scoping, tracking & statusing, communications, review & prioritization, reporting & insights—and drive adoption across Fund Administration.
  • Mature governance: define policies, standards, RACI, and cadences for the core BEWM routines (Visibility; Assignment & Scoping; Status Review; Business Partner Communication).
  • Set a multi‑year strategy and OKRs for BEWM aligned to FFIO and enterprise priorities; measure value creation and drive continuous improvement.
  • Bolster and operationalize Fund Admin’s KPI framework (leading/lagging indicators) and work management prioritization methodology balancing risk, regulatory commitments, client impact, capacity, and value.
  • Build and lead a multi‑disciplinary team (intake coordination, project/program management, reporting & insights); hire, coach, and develop leaders and specialists.
  • Employ a central work intake and tracking solution; ensure data quality, lineage, and a business glossary/data dictionary specifically for BEWM data assets, in close alignment with Fund Administration data stewardship disciplines.
  • Own executive dashboards, scorecards, and MBR/QBRs that frame choices, risks, dependencies, and trade‑offs for decision makers.
  • Lead change management and communications to drive adoption of new processes, tooling, and metrics; enable a culture of transparency and accountability.
