About The Position

Director, Engineering Leader, Full Stack Engineering Director, Engineering Leader – Personalization Platform role brings skilled expertise as an Engineering leader with vision and partnership to align product management teams, providing engineering leadership, fostering a vibrant community of growth, development, and continuous improvement across skills. This multidimensional role is crucial to the development of customer-centric solutions founded on dynamic engineering principles and subject areas. We seek a credible Engineering Leader to join the Personalization Platform Engineering organization, and this Engineering Leader will lead the engineering team aligned to deliver the personalization solutions. The Value You Deliver Dynamic Engineering Leadership: Provide Engineering expertise, thought leadership and consulting across Product Management, Engineering & Human-Centric Design subject areas. Provide technical and functional oversight with product management teams to ensure we are building the best products, platforms, and experiences for our customers. Collaborate with your product leaders to prioritize technical efforts and provide guidance on product features and capabilities. Collaborate with architecture and Platform Engineering teams on setting technical direction and ensure alignment with our technology strategy. Ensure engineered solutions address scale, reuse, and high availability requirements by using platforms and established standard methodologies. Accelerate & increase efficiency by continuously improving engineering & operations practices. Engage as a domain expert, staying abreast of the external industry trends, advancements, and innovations in technical areas of expertise. Collaborate with multiple teams in the organization and the ability to deal with ambiguity and work in fast paced environment. Engaging Engineering Leadership: Create and promote the vision, roadmap, and expectations for your engineering teams to achieve engineering excellence in all results. Define and implement a plan to attract, hire, build and retain the optimal skills for your Teams. Facilitate learning at scale to promote skill, career, and development growth for technologists on the team Maintain and share knowledge and expertise on the evolving needs of customers, internal and external markets, and industry trends and changes across our community. Lead team members through a high degree of organizational complexity in support of cross-domain and cross-product area work. As the direct reporting manager for technologists, you will be responsible for talent reviews, performance evaluation, compensation decisions, goal setting, career development, and top talent recruitment practices. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering & Development
  • 5+ years of experience in developing data applications in Cloud (AWS)
  • Proven experience working hands-on on software engineering problems - Development of APIs, Data intensive applications, and scaling cloud-based solutions, etc. using variety of programming languages like Java/Python.
  • Experience in application architecture design and development on AWS using various architecture patterns (e.g., Distributed, Serverless, Event Driven, Microservices etc.) and can articulate the right paradigm for the problem at hand
  • Expertise in data movement technologies (ETL/ELT), Integration Technologies (SQS, SNS, Airflow, Step Functions) and Analytics Services (AWS Glue, Data Pipeline, EMR, Kinesis)
  • Expertise in Relational and NoSQL databases (Dynamo DB, Elastic search, Graph database)
  • Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker).
  • Delivery oversight experience of implementation projects, managing development teams, and should be aware of production support framework and handling escalations.
  • Ability to collaborate across business units, with peers and leadership to ensure objectives, KPI's and standards are aligned.
  • Ability to attract, hire and build a pool of diverse, engaged engineers with the skills needed today and in the future.
  • Ability to connect with and influence all levels of the organization and motivate change
