The Project Director, Frontline Health Workers Coalition (FHWC) provides strategic leadership for CARE USA’s role as host and secretariat of the Frontline Health Workers Coalition, a global alliance of U.S.-based and international organizations advocating for sustained and strategic investments in frontline health workers (FHWs) in low- and middle-income countries. The position leads coalition strategy, advocacy, fundraising, and partnership engagement to advance health workforce policies and financing with the U.S. government, multilateral institutions, and global health stakeholders. The Project Director is responsible for setting the coalition’s strategic direction in collaboration with its Steering Committee, mobilizing members around shared advocacy priorities, and ensuring high-quality policy engagement across global platforms such as the World Health Assembly (WHA), UN General Assembly (UNGA), and other key multilateral and U.S. government forums. The role also oversees coalition operations, budgets, workplans, and communications, ensuring alignment with CARE’s global health, gender equality, and advocacy priorities.
