Director, Fraud

The Director of Fraud is responsible for building detection and enforcement programs to protect the Etsy marketplace from financial loss related to fraudulent buyers and sellers. In this capacity, you'll take a multi-layered approach to understand the ways in which bad actors introduce risk into our ecosystem, devise detection strategies to combat that risk, and build enforcement programs intended to mitigate fraudulent behavior across our ecosystem. This role will lead a globally distributed team of managers and fraud enforcement specialists and work closely with partners across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, Fulfillment, Communications, Compliance, and Member Support teams. This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director of Risk and Fraud (R&F). This role requires your presence in Etsy's Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office.
