About The Position

We are seeking a Director, FP&A to join our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. As a key individual contributor within the Corporate FP&A team, you will play a critical role in driving Mimecast's financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. Your work will directly influence Mimecast's strategic decision-making, helping to shape the company's growth trajectory and ensure our continued success in the cybersecurity industry. This position requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Director, Corporate FP&A will focus on delivering accurate and actionable financial insights to support Mimecast's strategic goals and operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related field.
  • Excellent financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong business acumen, with a desire to learn how Mimecast's business activities shape our financial outcomes.
  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, or similar platforms).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently as a high-performing individual contributor.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in SaaS or technology industries is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CPA or CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the company's annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Act as a financial advisor to G&A leaders, helping align business strategies with financial objectives.
  • Identify variances between forecasted and actual performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform detailed financial modelling and scenario analysis to evaluate business performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of forecasts with corporate objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and maintain financial reports to track key metrics and provide visibility into business performance.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of company-wide financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Partner with HR and other stakeholders to develop and maintain accurate G&A headcount reporting and workforce planning models.
  • Assist in preparing materials for executive leadership and board meetings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial data to support executive decision-making.
  • Drive enhancements in financial processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the broader FP&A team to implement best practices and streamline reporting workflows.
