About The Position

The Director for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Education and Training at Stanford University is responsible for leading and guiding diversity, equity, and inclusion-related training and professional development efforts across Stanford Medicine. This role supports the Office of the Chief Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Officer (CEDIO) and collaborates with various leaders to implement strategies outlined in the Inclusive Excellence and Health Equity Strategic Plan. The position aims to train future leaders in medicine and science who will advocate for equity and social justice while addressing health disparities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate constituencies.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make sound business decisions using good judgment and innovative problem-solving.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience within a university or academic medical center.
• Documented ability to lead and assess professional development activities.
• Demonstrated success in launching new programs or initiatives.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and virtual collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and analysis for complex functions or programs.
• Manage the administration and evaluation of programs or functions.
• Represent the program or function at the university level and to stakeholders.
• Develop and manage outreach strategy including relationship development and compliance.
• Oversee or supervise staff in program development and implementation.
• Develop and/or oversee budgets and manage finances.
