This is a two-year fixed term position with the possibility of renewal dependent on programmatic need and budgetary availability. This position is based on Stanford's main campus with consideration given to the option for a hybrid work schedule (partially onsite and offsite), subject to operational need.   • Lead strategic vision by developing and executing a strong program and co-curricular student endeavors for advancing energy entrepreneurship at Stanford
  • Lead and apply thought-leadership on energy entrepreneurship communicating insights to stakeholders internally and externally
  • Lead key partnerships with members of the 150+ faculty affiliated with the Precourt Institute for Energy; 39 student clubs; and faculty with aligned interests at the d.school
  • Represent energy ecopreneurship with entities beyond Stanford that can open conduits to advance energy entrepreneurship
  • Serve and advise Precourt Institute Director on strategic fundraising opportunities for energy ecopreneurship and the larger Precourt education pillar
  • Build a strong liaison relationship to represent energy ecopreneurship and be aligned with Ecopreneurship at Stanford and the Doerr School Sustainability Accelerator
  • Build connections and outreach with the Stanford Venture Studio - Ecopreneur Circle, the Ecopreneurship Eco-Sprint program, and student clubs
  • Serve as institutional expert for students on evaluating technology venture ideas for strategic energy transitions and pitching opportunities to venture investors
  • Engage and lead graduate students to explore commercialization pathways for sustainability-focused faculty innovations
  • Develop tracking and metric analysis models for innovation explorations and technology commercialization realizations
  • Teach and co-teach courses on topics related to entrepreneurship in energy transitions and sustainability, develop curriculum and co-curricular learning opportunities
  • Be a go-to resource for energy-focused students who seek independent coaching along their entrepreneurship journeys, from initial ideation to launch
  • Expand the number of on-ramps for energy entrepreneurs and their start-ups by helping activate alumni mentors in the Ecopreneurship network
  • Serve as an Innovation Coach for energy-focused Eco-Sprint
  • Advanced degree and five years of relevant experience in area of specialization or combination of relevant education, training, and/or experience
  • Experience managing a budget and developing financial plans
  • Experience developing program partnerships and funding sources
  • Ability to develop program partnerships and funding sources
  • Advanced oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization
  • Ability to oversee and direct staff
  • Ability to manage budgets and develop financial plans
  • Enthusiasm to work with students and develop strong, lasting connections with them
  • Knowledge of Stanford University as a student is preferred but not required
  • Creativity, passion, and excitement to create a positive, meaningful program for Stanford students

  • Serve as a mentor to students, connect them to resources and opportunities, and help them chart a path forward based on their interests
