About The Position
The South Whittier School District is seeking a qualified candidate for a position requiring a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a major in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field. The role demands four years of increasingly responsible professional accounting experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a related field with two years of increasingly professional accounting experience. School district fiscal management experience is highly desirable. The candidate must possess advanced math skills, the ability to review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and speak persuasively to implement desired actions. Additionally, the candidate should be able to analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions, and have knowledge of financial concepts, techniques, and regulations, as well as accounting/bookkeeping principles and concepts of employee supervision and evaluation.
