About The Position

The Director, Financial Systems is responsible for leading the strategy, governance, and execution of the organization’s financial technology ecosystem. This role oversees the administration, optimization, and long-term evolution of financial systems to ensure data integrity, scalability, compliance, and alignment with business objectives. The Director serves as a key partner to Finance, IT, and Operations, enabling efficient financial processes, accurate reporting, and informed decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a Finance or Accounting system support role with exposure to Oracle EBS and Oracle EPM required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Proven experience managing financial systems (in particular ERP platforms) in a corporate environment
  • Knowledge of financial processes, controls, and regulatory standards
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Exceptional negotiation and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff in a collaborative environment
  • Must possess the ability to ensure confidentiality and exercise considerable discretion in dealing with data and others
  • Demonstrated flexibility under a prioritization change condition
  • Effective and decisive under pressure caused by complex situations
  • Strong PC skills: Must have proficiency with all Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Possess sufficient technological skills to manage projects to build multiple reporting hierarchies, databases, system generated reports and workbooks
  • Oracle experience required

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all financial systems supporting accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Own the financial systems roadmap, including system architecture, enhancements, upgrades, and integrations with enterprise platforms.
  • Partner closely with Finance, IT, Procurement, and Operational leaders to identify process improvements, drive automation, and ensure systems align with evolving business needs.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing financial systems team, setting priorities, goals, and best practices.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, including system providers and implementation partners, ensuring performance, cost-effectiveness, and contract compliance.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, security, and availability of financial data across all platforms.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and governance requirements related to financial systems.
  • Develop and oversee end-user training, documentation, and change management to maximize adoption, efficiency, and data quality.
  • Monitor system performance, proactively identify risks, and resolve complex system issues and dependencies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Finance and IT, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and accountability for all financial systems initiatives.
  • Champion continuous improvement by staying current on emerging financial technologies, ERP capabilities, information systems best practices, and procurement processes.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights on system performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.
