About The Position

At Walmart, Tech Finance plays a strategic role at the intersection of Technology, Enterprise Finance, and Business Strategy. It goes well beyond budget support —it is a business-partnering function that shapes how Walmart invests in technology to drive growth, efficiency, and maintain a competitive advantage. The Director of Technology Finance will be responsible for partnering with US technology leadership to drive financial planning, analysis, decision support, and strategic resource allocation for technology investments. You will work closely with senior tech executives, to shape investment decisions, execute against financial targets (AOP/LRP), and ensure alignment between financial goals and technology business priorities within the “tech-powered” elements of Walmart’s strategy. What you’ll do: Serve as a trusted finance partner to senior technology leaders (e.g., SVPs and business unit heads) Provide insights and financial recommendations to support growth, innovation, and investment prioritization Estimate costs and ROI of new technology, evaluating financial trade-offs for features, projects, and tools Identify risks/opportunities and present forward-looking views to drive data-informed decisions (e.g. developer productivity, cloud and AI unit economics, etc.) Translate financial insights into actionable narratives for stakeholders across Technology, Enterprise Finance, Product, People, and other functions Identify and implement process improvements to make planning and analysis more efficient and insightful What you’ll bring: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 7+ years of experience Experience supporting senior leadership with decision-making and influencing outcomes Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and driving measurable business impact Advanced organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments Deep interest in AI, platform thinking, and enabling innovation at scale. Leadership presence with a collaborative mindset; able to operate effectively across organizational layers and functions. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 7+ years of experience
  • Experience supporting senior leadership with decision-making and influencing outcomes
