Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, with increasing responsibility; experience in biotech/pharma or R&D finance strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of supporting business partners and driving financial performance.
  • Experience with US GAAP, planning/ERP systems, and financial reporting.
  • People management experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for assigned Development Functions.
  • Oversee monthly close activities, including accruals, reclasses, and variance analysis.
  • Deliver high-impact financial analysis and insights to support decision-making for OPEX, headcount, and strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare and present monthly/quarterly financial reports to R&D and Finance leadership.
  • Collaborate with business partners and FP&A colleagues to ensure alignment and completeness of financial submissions.
  • Drive process improvements and leverage financial systems (e.g., SAP) to streamline data collection and reporting.
  • Support and/or lead ad-hoc projects, scenario modeling, and business case development.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, and proactively address risks and opportunities.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop finance staff, fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability, and growth.
