Location: South San Francisco, CA. Position Summary: We are seeking a Director of Field Operations and Data Management to join IDEAYA's Commercial Operations team. The Director of Field Operations and Data Management is responsible for leading field operations strategy, managing commercial data assets, and ensuring field teams have the tools, insights, and operational support to execute effectively. This role will oversee operational processes, field analytics, resource deployment and data optimization while acting as a critical strategic partner to Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Training, Finance, and executive leadership. This leader will utilize their extensive U.S. oncology and launch experience with an initial focus on our lead program darovasertib in metastatic Uveal Melanoma [mUM]. In the longer-term, this leader will scale the department to support expected future approvals of several assets in IDEAYA's rapidly expanding pipeline. This position reports to the Vice President, Commercial Operations, Analytics & Insights. While this will initially be an individual contributor role, this position is expected to evolve into a team lead with 1-3 direct reports within two years. This position is based in our South San Francisco headquarter office and required to be onsite four days per week per our company policy.

Requirements

  • This leader will utilize their extensive U.S. oncology and launch experience with an initial focus on our lead program darovasertib in metastatic Uveal Melanoma [mUM].

Responsibilities

  • Design incentive compensation programs for a rare disease oncology market, with a focus on both standard goal setting strategies as well as near-term ‘contests' to maximize launch trajectory
  • Serve as the operational liaison between field-based commercial teams and the home office (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Field Reimbursement, and Medical as appropriate).
  • Partner with sales leadership to create the territories for the field organization, including HCP territory assignments and ‘ZTT' (zip-to-terr) creation
  • In close collaboration with IDEAYA IT, manage the design and implementation of the CRM (likely Veeva).
  • Deliver timely insights and analytics to field leadership, including sales performance, customer engagement trends, and call activity
  • Partner with internal legal and training teams to ensure all field activities adhere to regulatory and company standards.
  • Translate data and information into compelling insights and recommendations.
  • Effectively communicate insights and lead meetings with commercial leaders and other cross functional business partners
  • In close collaboration with training, significant involvement with content creation and program execution and sales meetings
  • Manage the acquisition and integration of key commercial data sources, including prescriber-level data, specialty pharmacy data, payer data, hub data, and other sources as appropriate
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to develop and implement master data management (MDM) system and related commercial data warehouse (CDW)
  • Partner with IT and vendors to ensure accurate and timely data ingestion into the CDW
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards, validation rules, and reconciliation processes.
  • Collaborate with internal legal and compliance colleagues to ensure all data usage adheres to privacy regulations
  • Ensure that reliable and actionable data is available for dashboards, reporting, and incentive compensation
