About The Position

Fortive Business System leader for the Accruent, an Operating Company within Fortive. Based either remotely or in Austin, this role will lead all FBS activity across Accruent, and manage other FBS heads in the business. Job Summary: Accruent is seeking a qualified candidate to become our Director, FBS. This leader will develop, promote, and drive adoption of the Fortive Business System (FBS) throughout Accruent. This includes driving our strategic initiatives as defined by the leadership team, and producing world-class results in customer experience, quality, on-time delivery, customer-value, to result in exceptional financial performance. This individual will provide the thought leadership, roadmap, and development of FBS leaders throughout Accruent. Additionally, this individual will provide executive coaching and development to all functional leaders including Customer Experience, Sales, Product & Technology, Operations, and Marketing. Ultimately, the successful candidate will bring a broad combination of experience with the interpersonal and communication skills that afford them superior credibility with executive leaders and throughout all levels of the organization. They will work across many peers and indirect subordinates in a matrixed environment. Location: Austin, remote is possible

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading continuous improvement and transformative initiatives in a business function

  • Provide examples of use of Project management & FBS tools to provide results in organizational improvement. The tools must include at least: Kaizen, VOC, VSM, Standard Work, Daily Management, 5S, Visual Management, PSP, Transactional Process Improvement, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or equivalent with 5+ years of experience.
  • Prior Danaher/ Fortive Business Systems Tools experience and Champion in multiple fundamental and advanced growth tools
  • Experience as a Project Management Professional (PMP)

Responsibilities

  • Utilize FBS to drive alignment, growth, and productivity to deliver on strategic and operational goals.
  • Serve as thought partner with leadership regarding strategic improvement initiatives and change management.
  • Identify additional opportunities for operational & commercial improvements.
  • Using a consultative mind set, work side-by-side with business and functional leaders to drive operational and financial improvements.
  • Develop FBS leaders in every corner of the business to ensure FBS is part of the Accruent culture.
  • Ensure FBS tools are utilized for driving business operations and meeting performance goals.
  • Assist leadership in meeting and exceeding annual performance objectives for Accruent.
  • Develop FBS talent through on-the-job and classroom training, certification processes, and recruitment.
  • Concisely and effectively communicate with clients and team members with status updates.
  • Be the advocate for the customer and be able to have crucial conversations with clients to manage through difficulties.
  • Go to “Gemba” as needed to hear directly from our staff and clients about their needs.
  • Prepares regular, thorough, and articulate executive summaries for senior leadership on project and team performance.
