What you'll be doing: You will drive the department's success by continually developing, mentoring, and holding all team members accountable to their job descriptions, while demonstrating ownership, striving for excellence, and aligning with your vision as the department leader. You will also ensure adherence to all established Facility Services policies and procedures. Lead departmental operations through workforce planning, performance management, timely appraisals, and effective supervision of all team members; organize schedules, ensure consistent training, and partner with HR to deliver leadership development programs. Establish, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that uphold high standards of quality, customer service, and alignment with the community's mission and values; conduct routine inspections to maintain quality control. Provide strong financial stewardship by overseeing budgeting, capital requests, purchasing, receiving, inventory control, invoice processing, and adherence to annual operating and revenue budgets. Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations by maintaining required documentation, addressing facility issues, mitigating liability risks, and achieving optimal results in audits, surveys, inspections, and assessments. Foster a resident‑focused culture by modeling gracious, attentive interactions, instilling this philosophy in team members, collaborating with advisory committees, managing contracted services, and responding calmly and knowledgeably to emergencies. About you: Minimum 10 years of experience in facility services, building operations, or a related field, including at least 5 years of leadership experience in budgeting, performance management, discipline, and employee supervision. Bachelor's degree in business administration, facility services, construction management, or a related field preferred; CFM or BOM certification also preferred. Strong communication and administrative skills with the ability to complete forms, maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and read specifications, plans, and drawings; proficiency in budgeting and accounting practices. Knowledge of regulatory codes, fire prevention and suppression systems, and CMMS software; strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) with preferred experience in customer service, team building, and leadership. Requirements
