About The Position

Paramount is looking for a Director, Facilities Services to join the Studio Services team in Los Angeles. This position is the primary driver of the team that conducts facilities services activities, maintenance, energy savings, capital improvement projects and is responsible for providing asset reliability oversight.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years' experience in utility systems, building systems and campus environment systems

Nice To Haves

  • B.S. in Engineering or Technology related field of study preferred
  • Broad-based knowledge of energy savings methodologies, project management, commercial building design, construction, and maintenance with a strong background in utility and infrastructure equipment and systems, control systems, including building management system interfaces, and technical power systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Powerpoint, Sharepoint and Autodesk AutoCad
  • Working knowledge of Maximo or equivalent CMMS that supports a multi-trade maintenance team
  • People management experience
  • Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Direct the day-to-day operations, preventative and corrective programs, investigation and resolving problems or cost issues within the facility
  • Share responsibility for 3 major company initiatives:
  • Reduce the utility and expense budget thru operational and energy efficiencies
  • Drive capital and extraordinary maintenance projects to enhance reliability and resiliency
  • Standardize facility maintenance procedures
  • Manage the day-to-day operational needs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, construction, paint, landscape and electronics
  • Act as the primary team member to formulate, standardize, administer while maintaining and auditing Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Diagnostic (P&M) programs
  • Consolidate and Standardize approaches for preventative/predictive maintenance tasks and maintenance repair techniques from a corporate perspective
  • Assist in the review of equipment failures and analyzing equipment histories to identify trends in specific repetitive failures, to appropriately identify root causes and address identified areas for improvement
  • Manage 9 direct reports with 100 - 185 indirect reports within Studio Services
  • Change agent to utilize corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance as key driver for capital investment, as well as to alignment investment with Paramount business objectives
  • Coordinate energy reliability engineering activities with other departments, divisions and external utility entities; provide responsible advice and counsel to other Paramount entities
  • Generate Management of Change (MOC) documents and update unit records, tabulations and drawings through the MOC process
  • Champion the transfer and implementation of best practices across the maintenance organization in an effort to maintain standardization and improve equipment performance
  • Work to understand plant maintenance training needs and ascertain how to ensure that training opportunities are to be made available
  • Support the day-to-day operational needs for offices services and dispatch center
  • Ensure that the utilities and infrastructure continue to perform as designed thru continuous process improvement energy audits and monthly reporting of energy usage
  • Define key metrics for operational energy usage and implement a cross functional reporting tool in conjunction with key energy engineering staff that is fully automated
