About The Position

Join our team to lead the planning, design, and delivery of projects ranging from urgent work orders to $100M+ capital initiatives that shape the future of Mayo Clinic’s campuses and patient experience. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution—blending visionary, human-centered design with the operational realities of complex clinical environments. As a leader within Planning & Design, you will mentor a high-performing team and guide projects through every phase—from programming and approvals through design, construction, and occupancy—while providing clear, executive-level communication and translating complex tradeoffs for senior leaders and clinical partners. If you thrive in a role that combines people leadership, design excellence, and end-to-end accountability, this is an opportunity to create environments that work seamlessly for patients, staff, and operations. In this role, you will: Shape the built environment for one of the world’s leading academic medical centers Lead high-impact capital and planning initiatives with visibility to executive and clinical leadership Set standards for design quality, regulatory compliance, and project delivery across the enterprise Build durable capability – people, processes, and systems

  • Comfortable operating in both the strategic and execution spaces
  • Curious and forward-looking, with interest in digital tools, data-informed decision-making, and evolving project delivery methods
  • Passionate about developing people, mentoring professionals, and building high-performing teams
