About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic Director of Product Communications to lead strategic communications for Insmed’s late-stage respiratory pipeline, including TPIP, as the programs advance toward Phase 3 data readouts and potential regulatory filings and launches. The Director will sit on the Extended Global Program Team(s) and partner closely with Global Program Head(s), clinical development, medical, and commercial teams to design and execute communications strategies and plans, including disease state awareness, market prep, data communications, regulatory milestones and commercialization. The ideal candidate is a seasoned communications professional with deep pharmaceutical experience who can operate strategically and execute flawlessly in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. What You'll Do: This role will be pivotal in shaping the narrative for our pipeline innovations and translating complex science into compelling stories that build understanding and momentum across key stakeholders including healthcare professionals, patients, media, and employees.

Requirements

  • You have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of progressive experience brand or product communications.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience (required); respiratory and rare disease experience (strongly preferred).
  • A combination of agency and in-house experience (strongly preferred).
  • Significant experience in clinical data communications, with a proven ability to translate complex science into compelling narratives and work across functions to secure alignment and approvals.
  • Demonstrated success leading communications for disease state awareness programming, regulatory milestones, and product launches.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare media landscape and experience engaging with trade, scientific, and business press.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative leader with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with operational discipline and the agility to manage shifting priorities.
  • Strong executive presence required, along with proven ability to fully integrate and participate in leadership teams.

Responsibilities

  • Communications Leadership: Serve as the strategic communications partner for TPIP and priority pipeline programs, shaping narratives that elevate the science, clinical impact, and potential of Insmed’s late-stage portfolio.
  • Data and Regulatory Milestone Communications: Lead communications planning and execution for major clinical milestones – including clinical data readouts, regulatory filings and approvals – collaborating closely with key cross-functional partners, and ensuring clear, credible dissemination of results to media and other key stakeholders.
  • Disease State & Science Visibility: Drive initiatives that raise awareness of under-recognized respiratory diseases and the unmet needs patients face, helping establish the scientific and clinical context for pipeline innovations.
  • Launch Readiness & Market Preparation: Partner with global and U.S. commercial teams to build communications strategies that prepare the market ahead of potential launches, including disease education, scientific and patient storytelling, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Executive & Internal Communications: Partner with Corporate Communications and leadership to keep employees informed and inspired around pipeline progress, major data moments, and organizational milestones.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with Clinical Development, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Investor Relations, Corporate Communications and Corporate Brand/Digital Communications teams to ensure consistent and coordinated messaging and plans across all channels and stakeholders.
