Amkor Technology, Inc. is seeking a talented and driven individual to join our Legal team. This position reports to the Vice President, Legal Compliance & Regulatory Affairs and will undertake a diverse range of responsibilities involving business integrity, anti-corruption, third party due diligence, and general ethics and compliance. Collaborating cross-functionally across key departments and stakeholder groups worldwide, you will be exposed to all aspects of compliance program implementation and compliance risk management.

  • Continually analyze and provide legal advice regarding ethics and compliance laws and regulations applicable to the company, and their impact on strategy and operations.
  • Conduct and advise on legal compliance risk assessments, due diligence reviews, and compliance audits and assessments.
  • Conduct and/or support compliance-related internal investigations.
  • Provide critical leadership and programmatic support for compliance organization enhancements throughout the global company footprint.
  • Design and advise on ethics and legal compliance policies, operating procedures and management systems.
  • Develop and deliver ethics and legal compliance training for a variety of audiences.
  • Undertake special projects and support other compliance-related initiatives.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law in any US state.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience conducting investigations and advising multinational businesses on ethics and compliance matters.
  • Outstanding drafting, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Problem solving excellence - proactively identifies and solves complex problems, thinking beyond existing solutions and frameworks.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team, and ability to gain the trust of business stakeholders to achieve a desired objective.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Passion for compliance work!
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, protected individual, or be eligible to qualify for a U.S. State Department export license.
  • Korean language skills.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry or international manufacturing sector.
  • Experience with compliance regulatory regimes and compliance programs outside of the US.
