About The Position

The Director of Environmental Services at BJC HealthCare will lead and provide strategic direction for Environmental Services across multiple facilities on the academic campus. This role is crucial in setting long-term vision, aligning practices with regulatory requirements, and ensuring best practices for infection prevention. The Director will support the hospital's mission by making sound decisions that enhance patient care, safety, service, and value.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in Environmental Services or a related field.
• 2-5 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide daily and strategic direction for Environmental Services across multiple facilities.
• Manage onboarding, hiring, training, workload management, and performance evaluations of staff.
• Develop and adhere to departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets.
• Respond to changes in the business that may affect budget goals.
• Develop a strategic plan for the departments and oversee daily operations.
• Establish department dashboard to monitor KPIs and effectiveness of cleaning programs.
• Ensure programs meet regulatory requirements and infection prevention standards.
