The Director, Enterprise SAP/ERP Services is a strategic and operational leader responsible for the global delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of ERP services, including SAP, QAD and integrated platforms. This role ensures the stability, availability, and scalability of ERP solutions that support critical business functions across global operations. The Director leads a team and manages external service providers to deliver high-quality day-to-day operational support and minor enhancements, while maintaining strong alignment with business needs and IT strategy. This leader serves as the primary point of accountability for ERP service delivery, vendor performance, security compliance, and financial management within the ERP domain. In partnership with business stakeholders and IT peers, the Director drives service excellence, operational resilience, and innovation in ERP service management, while upholding governance and risk management standards.

  • Lead and coordinate the global delivery of integrated SAP, QAD, and associated ERP services, ensuring end-to-end service quality, stability, and availability.
  • Oversee operational support for production environments, QA and development systems, and disaster recovery/failover capabilities.
  • Ensure services are effectively monitored with proactive alerts and performance metrics to anticipate and prevent downtime or degradation.
  • Integrate and oversee the day-to-day performance of external service providers responsible for ERP systems support and enhancements.
  • Work with Supplier Relationship Management and IT Service Management teams to ensure adherence to contractual obligations, SLAs, OLAs, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Lead regular service reviews, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and implement corrective action plans in collaboration with vendors.
  • Serve as a key liaison with business partners at country, regional, and global levels, ensuring ERP services align with operational priorities and long-term business objectives.
  • Manage communication and engagement with business stakeholders, ensuring transparency, issue resolution, and partnership on service planning and execution.
  • Proactively understand business roadmaps and how ERP systems can enable and support their success.
  • Oversee the intake, prioritization, and delivery of minor enhancements to ERP platforms, ensuring alignment with business requirements and IT governance processes.
  • Ensure all changes are executed following ITIL-aligned Change Management standards, with proper coordination of maintenance windows and solution delivery schedules.
  • Lead ERP incident response processes for high-impact (P1/P2) issues, ensuring timely communication, resolution coordination, root cause analysis, and follow-up action plans.
  • Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement by ensuring problem management processes are in place and effective.
  • Monitor and address ERP-related risks, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Champion ERP-related security awareness and compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal IT security teams and external partners to assess risks and implement controls without compromising business agility.
  • Ensure secure integration and operation of all ERP systems, bolt-ons, and middleware.
  • Own the planning, coordination, and execution of ERP-specific business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and testing.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure appropriate resilience and recovery capabilities are in place for critical ERP applications.
  • Manage all financial aspects of ERP service provisioning, including budgeting, forecasting, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoice approvals, and cost performance monitoring.
  • Ensure alignment with IT financial processes and work closely with procurement and finance teams to track and report on ERP spend.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT service delivery or ERP operations, preferably in a managed services or global enterprise environment.
  • Deep understanding of SAP, QAD, and Middleware systems.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier and service integration models.
  • Proficient in ITIL framework and change/incident management best practices.
  • Familiarity with IT security principles, risk management, and disaster recovery.
  • Effective communicator, relationship builder, and cross-functional leader.
  • Proven ability to manage complex issues under pressure and deliver measurable results.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
