About The Position

This role is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, building, and maintaining the suite of metrics that define overall company performance. Working closely with key stakeholders s/he ensures that there is a common narrative of company performance and unified action to drive toward continued improvement. The Director of Enterprise Intelligence is a critical component of Energizer's Data and Analytics strategy. The role reports to the Senior Director of Analytics and leverages core data and analytics products to create a new layer of corporate insights that drive unified action. This person will manage an action-oriented team of analytics, data science, data engineering, and business analyst professionals. This role will combine a deep knowledge of Energizer's business with a passion for creating reporting that is actionable across the organization. This role will enable a common narrative of company performance through an intentional engagement plan with key stakeholders. S/he will be a primary partner to executive leaders to ensure their perspective on business performance is incorporated into how Energizer defines and visualizes company performance. That partnership not only elicits input, it drives change; this role is responsible to ensure that our key decision-makers are aligned to the same metrics and overall standards of performance. The Director of Analytics will also lead a cross-functional team of business analysts, data analysts, data scientists, and data engineers to further standardize and centralize reporting across the organization. S/he will ensure that all reports used to drive key decisions are built on standardized data and integrated into Energizer's centralized reporting application. This cross-functional team will be a critical component to establishing, socializing, and enforcing a common narrative of overall company performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree or MBA is desirable.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience and proven track record in leveraging analytical concepts to drive business value (customer experience, supply chain, marketing, pricing, etc.)
  • Proven success in the leadership of data-driven initiatives, culminating in the development of useful insights and the improvement of a business's performance and driving growth.
  • Demonstrated success leading advanced analytics and working with a wide range of data in order to predict financial metrics for a business and drive business value.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form.
  • Must demonstrate a passion for research and data and be highly skilled in performing quantitative analyses on various business functions, for example, on consumer behavior and trends.
  • Expertise in the use of analytics technology, being able to draw complex queries that ultimately lead to improvements in business performance.

Nice To Haves

  • eCommerce and Marketing experience, including familiarity with web, social, and mobile marketing.
  • Extensive experience with machine learning techniques, and when to use them.

Responsibilities

  • 30% - Program Management: Translates analytics strategic vision and road maps into executable programs and leads team in realizing successful implementations. Acts as cross-functional strategic partner in aligning program resources and priorities.
  • 30% - Communication: Develops and presents to multiple levels of departmental leadership, cross-functional groups, peers, and functional groups of associates in support of special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • 20% - Strategic Planning: Lead the development and maintenance of mid to long-range strategic road maps, creating requisite business cases, competitive analyses, and driving program alignment across partner organizations from inception to implementation.
  • 20% - Coaching and Development: Communicates effectively as a leader to develop talent on the team to provide best-in-class capabilities. Meets regularly with team members and peers. Responsible for reviews and performance management.
