About The Position
WSET has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Engineering! The Director will oversee all engineering functions of the station, including planning of future equipment installations, requirements, and budgetary recommendations. This role involves managing training and hiring processes for engineering staff, supervising maintenance of computer software, hardware, and local area network applications, and ensuring software license compliance with all software versions up to date. The Director will also supervise preventive maintenance and/or troubleshooting of broadcast electronic equipment, including but not limited to cameras, audio and video equipment, microwave transmitters and receivers, satellite receivers, and computing equipment. Additionally, the Director will supervise and/or perform transmitter maintenance, work with Corporate leadership to ensure security and FCC compliance, and actively participate in managing the engineering budgets, forecasts, and vendor relationships.
