About The Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Director, Engineering for the Progeny Systems Business Area of the Maritime and Strategic Systems (M&SS) Line of Business (LoB). Progeny Systems is focused on supporting the U.S. Navy's submarine force, including complete lifecycle support for mission-critical systems. Progeny's stellar reputation with its Navy customers has resulted in an extensive portfolio that includes software and hardware platforms for weapon launch and control systems, acoustics, information assurance, cybersecurity, surveillance, and multitiered architectures. Our primary location is Manassas, VA. The successful candidate will report directly to the M&SS Engineering Vice President. You will have responsibility for the 500 plus employee engineering team and will be fully accountable for engineering execution within the Business Area. You will be responsible for enhancing the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
