About The Position

The Director of Engineering Control and Operational Analysis at New York City Transit is responsible for directing the development, management, and control of the Subways Engineering Division's annual Operating Budget. This role involves overseeing all personnel administration within the Engineering Division and directing all Human Resource functions. The Director ensures that all processes and procedures related to the effective management of NYCT contracts are in place, updated, and implemented. Additionally, the Director manages and coordinates all activities associated with the Internal Control Program as required by New York State and serves as the Property Control Officer to ensure the accurate identification, audit, and distribution of the Division's fixed assets.

Requirements

  • A Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Education, or related field.
  • Ten (10) years of full-time related experience.
  • Five (5) years of supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to develop and implement procedures for contract management and engineering performance.
  • Thorough knowledge of MTA NYCT budget, human resources, and labor relations processes.
  • Ability to identify root causes of budgetary problems and develop appropriate responses.
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
