We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. As the Director, Compute Software Silicon, you will lead an international team of software engineers enabling ML acceleration on Tensor SOCs that power the Pixel smartphone. Your team provides the compiler for the ML accelerator, and collaborates closely with the hardware architecture team to design next-generation embedded ML accelerators. Your team provides an SDK, including documentation and tooling that enables both other Google teams, as well as external developers, to get the speed and power benefits a dedicated ML accelerator can provide. The team provides a runtime that manages the accelerators. Finally, a team of ML experts co-develops and optimize ML models with model owners (in research and other Google units) to provide the best possible models for the Tensor SOC.
