Requirements

• Expert knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational, tactical, and strategic planning.
• Expert knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques.
• Expert knowledge of hybrid power systems and ability to develop site level controls and energy management solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of effective listening and communicating; ability to influence others.
• Extensive understanding of market priorities and ability to respond to customer needs.
• Extensive knowledge of processes involved in managing people and leading successful teams.
• Expert knowledge of effective collaboration techniques and ability to build networks globally.

Responsibilities

• Management of Controls and Hybrid R D budget per year.
• Management of the entire execution of the Electric Power controls platform from product definition/customer requirements, NPI management and engineering of the control system.
• Development of requirements and management of R D budget for Fuel Cells, Hydrogen Infrastructure, and Machine charging systems.
• Decision making on VC investments/partnerships and framework agreements with vendors in the Hybrid and Hydrogen infrastructure industry.
• Serves as EPDs primary liaison to the Electrification and Energy Solutions Division, Resource Industries and Construction Industries Segments within Caterpillar.
• Management and coordination of all Grid Code strategy work.
• Management and coordination of participation in utility/grid connection regulatory groups.
• Management of Caterpillar's power systems simulation strategy and team(s).
• Management of LEPS Engineering and Product Group OPACC improvement projects.
