This posting is for both the Director, Energy Ignite Product Design, Global Jordan and Director, Energy Sublabel & BP Product Design, Global Jordan roles To excel in our Director, Energy Ignite, Product Design role , you must hold a passion for street, sport and fashion cultures and/or adjacent sub-cultures and communities. To excel in our Director, Energy Sublabel & Brand Partnerships Product Design role, you must hold a passion for action sports, non-traditional sports, and/or adjacent sub-cultures and communities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • Strong inter-personal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-leading executions most-relevant to our Jordan Energy Consumer Muses.
  • Minimum 8+ years’ experience in a design-related role, including 2 years in a management/leadership role preferred.
  • Footwear design experience preferred.
  • Passion for and/or knowledge of action sports, non-traditional sports, and adjacent sub-cultures and communities.
  • Experience exploring new technical and aesthetic innovations across performance and style.
  • Self-starter with innovation mindset who thrives in fast-paced, agile culture, embraces change, and can navigate ambiguity.
  • Track record working with a broad range of collaboration partners across industries and ability to influence different personalities and perspectives to achieve high-quality results.
  • Clear and persuasive communication skills, both visual and verbal, with the ability to present and stand behind your concepts.
  • Ability to orchestrate creative work across a network of studios and teams, keeping alignment without losing momentum.
  • A resilient, solutions-oriented mentality with the flexibility to adapt quickly as business needs shift, without sacrificing creative integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision and design execution for all brand collaborations and partnerships, leading end-to-end design across footwear, apparel, accessories and future product expression types, ensuring every partnership feels intentional, culturally relevant, and unmistakably on-brand.
  • Shaping and driving design direction across this Ignite division of Jordan Energy.
  • Functioning in a player/coach capacity, both designing and leading your design team to execute product concepts that push boundaries and carve out new spaces for both Jordan Energy and the Jordan Brand at large.
  • Driving vision, championing product integrity, innovation, and performance as you oversee key initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Developing design strategies and ensuring excellence through advanced concepts.
  • Managing presentations and communicating design visions to a variety of audiences, ensuring that all projects meet our high standards of excellence and timelines.
  • Be the driving force behind bringing strategic innovation into the category, always looking to pioneer new spaces and drive forward-thinking design, all while continually elevating the superior caliber of leadership behaviors and team player mindset we hold ourselves accountable to, daily.
  • Own the vision and design execution for all brand collaborations and partnerships, leading end-to-end design across footwear, apparel, accessories and future product expression types, ensuring every partnership feels intentional, culturally relevant, and unmistakably on-brand.
  • Translate partner narratives into compelling product storytelling systems, collaborating closely with external creatives, celebrities, entertainers, key retailers, and brands etc. to co-author concepts that feel authentic to both parties while elevating the brand’s cultural point of view.
  • Lead and inspire cross-category design teams, setting creative direction, design standards, and ways of working that enable cohesive, high-impact collaboration stories across multiple product platforms and timelines.
  • Act as a senior creative partner to internal stakeholders and external collaborators, navigating complexity, aligning vision, and balancing creative ambition with commercial realities, operational constraints, and brand integrity.
  • Push the boundaries of collaboration as a cultural and business lever, identifying new partnership opportunities, emerging creative voices, and unconventional formats that expand the brand’s reach, relevance, and long-term equity.
  • Build and steward a network of external creative talent, from designers and artists to studios and cultural operators; cultivating long-term relationships that continuously feed the brand’s collaboration pipeline and creative relevance.
  • Own the vision and design execution for sublabel and brand partnerships, leading end-to-end design across footwear, apparel, accessories and future product expression types, ensuring every partnership feels intentional, culturally relevant, and unmistakably on-brand.
  • Shaping and driving design direction across this Sublabel and Brand Partnerships division of Jordan Energy.
  • Functioning in a player/coach capacity, both designing and leading your design team to execute product concepts that push boundaries and carve out new spaces for both Jordan Energy and the Jordan Brand at large.
