About The Position

The Director, Employer Partner Success at College Board is a pivotal role aimed at enhancing employer engagement efforts to support AP Career Kickstart courses. This position is fully remote, with the option for hybrid work for those near College Board offices. The role involves cultivating relationships with enterprise employers, co-creating educational resources, and ensuring a strong alignment between employer needs and student learning outcomes. The Director will work closely with various stakeholders to strengthen partnerships that benefit students and contribute to a more inclusive talent pipeline.

Requirements

  • Ability to cultivate and retain strategic partnerships with large employers or industry groups.
  • Strong background in content co-creation, ideally working with external partners to develop resources or initiatives for students or early-career talent.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and storytelling skills, with experience translating complex employer needs into actionable program improvements.
  • A track record of cross-functional collaboration, particularly with product, instructional, or academic teams.
  • Experience using feedback to generate insights, produce reports, and inform organizational strategy.
  • Comfort hosting and facilitating events (virtual and in-person) such as employer councils, advisory committees, student visits, moderated panels at conferences, or info sessions.
  • Ability to connect employer skills needs to real-world job descriptions and hiring practices.

Nice To Haves

  • 5-8 years of experience in employer partnerships, sales, or corporate engagement.
  • Experience with Salesforce, MSFT Office Suite, research, writing, doing presentations.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in education, workforce development, business, or related field a plus.
  • The ability to travel 15-20 times a year for partner engagement or College Board meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with a portfolio of Enterprise Employer Partners to ensure a richer student/teacher experience and overall retention.
  • Recognize and elevate Employer Partner contributions through visibility opportunities (logos, newsletters, events).
  • Conduct regular check-ins to assess satisfaction, gather feedback, and demonstrate impact.
  • Guide Employer Partners to expand involvement across multiple pathways (e.g., councils, events, hackathons, hosting student site visits).
  • Facilitate opportunities for deeper Employer Partner engagement that demonstrate commitment to student learning.
  • Collect and share partner/student success stories to illustrate the value of multi-touch collaboration.
  • Engage Employer Partners in developing classroom and student-facing resources (case studies, 'day in the life' videos, project-based experiences).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure materials align with AP Career Kickstart goals and are widely adopted by educators.
  • Monitor student engagement and feedback to improve the effectiveness of these resources.
  • Capture and synthesize Employer Partners feedback and industry trends to inform overall College Board strategy.
  • Deliver monthly insights reports and facilitate feedback sessions with Product and AP &I teams.
  • Host info sessions to connect employer needs to AP Career Kickstart coursework, highlighting links between skills and job descriptions/hiring practices.
  • Document and share insights to influence program design and strengthen internal alignment.
