About The Position

This critical role leading a team of Site People Business Partners Covering the North America region (US & Canada) working closely with senior leaders across the business and HR to drive optimal business and employee outcomes through the development and implementation of effective employee relations strategies. As an advisor, the Director influences executive decision-making and establishes strategies for employee relations. They design and implement programs to enhance manager effectiveness and employee engagement, providing training on policy interpretation. The successful candidate will skillfully execute on strategic priorities that create, develop, and maintain positive employee-employer relationships across the company, leading the team to provide interactive, localized partnership with local leaders, people managers, and employees. You will ensure that the team is pro-actively creating and fostering a positive work environment for all, using observed and data analytical insights to build local strategies, solicit feedback, create, and deliver site or community-based initiatives. The team will collectively coach and develop leaders and individual contributors to continue strengthening manager effectiveness and employee experiences.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of HR and employee relations experience in roles of progressively increasing scope and seniority in matrixed, high-growth organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws across the Americas region for both exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Proven leadership experience, including having directly hired and managed diverse teams across different geographies.
  • Experience in a high profile, strategic HR role with heavy executive-level interface and a high degree of executive influence.
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required with a preference for an advanced degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage data insights to distill themes and use predictive analytics to identify trends & hotspots while creating and executing plans to address opportunity areas.
  • Act as a neutral third party to resolve conflicts between employees or between employees and management.
  • Develop and update employee policies and procedures, maintaining clear and consistent global and local policies that align with company values and legal requirements.
  • Advise leaders on performance management best practices, including setting expectations, providing timely feedback, and coaching.
  • Lead programs at scale, from need identification to implementation, considering the unique needs of internal customers.
  • Strengthen the capabilities of the Site PBP team by providing coaching and counsel.
  • Design and implement proactive manager effectiveness and employee engagement programs.
  • Provide training and guidance to managers and employees on policy interpretation.
  • Collaborate with HR functional experts to deliver initiatives that enhance employee relations.
  • Strengthen site effectiveness through engagement and communication strategies.
