About The Position

The Director of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) at Amcor Rigid Packaging North America (ARPNA) is responsible for overseeing EHS programs and providing functional direction and technical support to Operations Leadership, Plant Managers, and EHS Managers. This role focuses on improving EHS performance and ensuring compliance with Amcor standards and regulatory requirements, while collaborating with various teams to implement effective strategies and programs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Environment, Health and Safety management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in developing and implementing EHS strategies and programs.
  • Ability to analyze safety statistics and identify trends for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the packaging industry or similar sectors.
  • Familiarity with global EHS standards and practices.
  • Certification in EHS management or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the implementation of EHS Strategies for ARPNA to achieve EHS KPI goals.
  • Collaborate with Operations management teams to ensure compliance with Amcor EHS Standards, focusing on Critical Risk mitigation.
  • Provide guidance and support to the ARPNA Global Manufacturing Services Organization (GMSO).
  • Represent ARPNA on Amcor's Global Safety Steering Committee (GSSC) and contribute to EHS standards development.
  • Plan and execute annual EHS audit plan for the ARPNA organization in collaboration with Amcor's Global EHS team.
  • Assist Operations EHS Managers with the implementation of ARPNA programs and policies.
  • Develop and implement effective injury prevention plans and compliance plans.
  • Manage EHS program development and deployment across ARPNA.
  • Analyze safety statistics to identify trends and implement improvement plans with Engineering and Operations Management Teams.
  • Support internal and external EHS audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed on time.
  • Oversee recordkeeping, reporting, and incident investigation processes.
