About The Position

The Director of Education & Integration is responsible for overseeing the Education department, ensuring that training programs are efficient and effective. This role involves leading the design and implementation of lab education programs, developing training objectives and policies, and facilitating the integration of education programs across various functions within the organization. The director will also manage operational and fiscal activities, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related area of specialty preferred.
  • Prior experience in education and training program development required.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience using CT scan and CAD/CAM technologies, or ten (10) years of experience in the dental industry as a dental technician or Certified Dental Technician.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of managerial experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Dental Technician certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the Education department ensuring training programs are efficient and effective.
  • Leads the design and implementation of lab education programs with a focus on improving Implant education.
  • Develops training objectives, strategies, policies, and programs for use across the organization.
  • Coordinates the implementation of policies and procedures related to various training and educational programs.
  • Investigates and evaluates a variety of in-house and outside training and educational programs.
  • Conducts needs evaluation and designs curricula and courses to meet those needs.
  • Identifies gaps in technical education among the organization to continuously improve training programs.
  • Facilitates the integration of education programs into various functions of production, R&D, customer service, sales, and clinical teams.
  • Develops systems for monitoring and ensuring consistency in training across various departments.
  • Collaborates with organizational-wide department heads to communicate training goals and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Creates and develops a team to execute the plan and manage the continued development of programs.
  • Collaborates with Clinical Education team to align messaging, product offerings, and other projects as needed.
  • Participates in Education and Training events such as workshops, courses, lectures, symposiums, and conferences.
  • Regularly updates key stakeholders on the progress of educational initiatives and their impact on operational efficiency and performance.
  • Manages division's operational and fiscal activities to meet staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
  • Sets division's operational strategy to align with the company's overall business strategy.
  • Determines division's quality standards and goals.
  • Monitors division's success, solves training issues, and motivates employees to ensure achievement of productivity and quality goals.
  • Analyzes and documents business processes and problems, developing solutions to enhance efficiencies.
  • Manages and implements solutions including process analysis and general department projects.
  • Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrators to outline implementation of policy, program, or operational changes.
  • Develops and maintains effective teaching techniques and methods to assist trainees with performance objectives.
  • Develops and oversees continuous education learning programs, including Certified Dental Technician (CDT) preparation.
  • Observes processing methods to determine causes of department inefficiencies and implements measures to improve operations.
  • Creates a positive environment that supports learning and provides constructive feedback consistently.
  • Hires, manages, trains, develops, reviews, and sets goals for department staff.
  • Acts as both coach and mentor to trainees in problem solving, decision-making, and process improvement.
  • Addresses employee relations matters in coordination with Human Resources.
  • Develops division policies in accordance with Company policies and procedures as necessary.
