Requirements

  • 7+ years related experience in retail, sales, or tasting room management
  • Proven track record in direct sales, leading and growing the business
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to utilize Point of Sales software and ERP software as needed
  • Knowledge of merchandising wine and non-wine items
  • Able to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of DTC managers and employees, providing direction, motivation and leadership that drive results
  • Support company programs for professional development and training.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to improve induvial and team performances
  • Frequent communication and organizational alignment by informing the team on company initiatives, results, and upcoming events
  • Provide clearly communicated performance and sales goals
  • Analyze weekly, monthly and quarterly sales goals and adjust strategies, tactics, and programs as needed to ensure alignment and effectiveness
  • Partner with Leadership to develop DTC business plans to include DTC estates objectives, strategies and tactics, annual case and revenue goals and operating expense budgets; reforecast revenue and operating expenses on a quarterly basis
  • Successfully oversee all aspects of the tasting rooms operations in collaboration with the Estate Manager; sales plans, initiatives, customer service, inventory, shipping orders, profitability, operating expenses, local hospitality events, and staff hiring training and development
  • Partner with culinary and wine education teams to create exciting food and wine experiences along with comprehensive educational interactions across the estate
  • Build and grow cross functional relationships throughout the organization
